One-time setup: download the updater ZIP and run Setup Game Updates.cmd. Choose your existing portable game folder once. Later, use “Update installed game.” The updater backs up files it replaces and preserves PlayerSaves; a patch may still download large assets. The ZIP contains the setup command, PowerShell scripts, updater, and README.

Windows updater: supports versions 0.2.12 and 0.2.13. Install the helper once before using the update button.

Download the complete ZIP. Unreal Editor is not required.

In Windows 0.2.13: Selyn Dark Form 2, hooded monk appearances and harmless training, new decorative creatures, session-only day/night choices, and temporary combat hit reactions matched to landed impacts. The three-profile menu follows Google sign-in; live sign-in and cloud saves remain unverified.

This is a development demo. Wider gameplay and performance testing continue.

After one-time setup, the Update installed game button opens your Windows updater.

It checks the installed version, downloads the matching patch, and replaces or removes tracked game files. Saves stay in place. One rollback copy is kept, and temporary patch downloads are cleaned up.

YOUR FIRST STEPS

Install the Windows download.

  1. Extract the complete ZIP

    Use Extract All to unpack the download into a new folder on a writable drive. Keep all extracted files and folders together.

  2. Create your desktop icon

    From the extracted game folder, run Create Desktop Shortcut.cmd once. Then launch the game from the Order of the Akasha desktop icon. You can also run Play Portable.cmd from the extracted folder.

  3. Keep your progress safe

    Your portable saves stay in PlayerSaves beside the launcher. Run Setup Game Updates.cmd once to enable the website update button for this folder. The updater preserves your saves. Keep your own backup of important progress.
